Program Description

The Summer in Mexico: Medical Spanish program, developed for Pre-Medical, Medical, Nursing, other healthcare workers and Spanish majors with an intermediate to advanced level of Spanish, seeks to improve students' language skills for better communication with Spanish-speaking patients.

Students will attend Spanish grammar courses and Medical Spanish courses with a strong emphasis on the vocabulary and syntax necessary for successful interaction with an increasing Hispanic patient population.

NOTE: Clinical hands-on experience is NOT available as part of this program.
