Summer in the Mediterranean: Early Christianity

Curriculum and Faculty

Students on this program will attend one course focused on early Christian thought and choose one of two elective courses.All applicants should aim to receive course pre-approval from their home institution.

REL-250: Ancient and Medieval Christian Thought (3 credit hours)

GREK-101: Greek Language and Culture I (3 credit hours)

NOTE:

Students can also take COMM-280: Intercultural Communications. This is a 3-credit, online course offered by the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Students will attend the course online, and the University of Nicosia will issue the transcripts.


Teaching Methods
  • All courses on the Summer in Mediterranean: Early Christianity program are University of Nicosia courses taught by University of Nicosia faculty using University of Nicosia syllabi on the University of Nicosia campus. The University of Nicosia issues the transcript for this program.
  • Courses are taught on an intensive schedule and meet for approximately 7 hours per week for the five weeks that students are in Cyprus for a total of 42 hours of classroom contact hours.
  • While the travel portion is a required part of this program and linked to the curriculum, it is not-for-credit.
