Semester in the Mediterranean
Curriculum
This program is based at the University of Nicosia, our host institution. All courses are accredited and taught in English by our host institution's regular faculty. Students that successfully complete their coursework will receive a University of Nicosia transcript.
All applicants should aim to receive course pre-approval from their home institution.

Course Schedule
Students choose 4 to 5 courses from the catalog of regularly scheduled Spring and Fall semester courses offered at the University of Nicosia.
Please download the course schedule below to view the day and time that each course is offered to ensure that your selected courses do not conflict with each other.
NOTES:
- The Education (code EDUC), and Social Work (code SOWK) courses are only in Greek, and thus not available to study abroad students
- Undergraduate students are only eligible for course numbers 100-499
- Practicum courses are approved on a case-by-case basis only
- When using the class schedule on the University of Nicosia website, make sure to select 'undergraduate' when filtering for types of courses
Students can also take
COMM-280: Intercultural Communications. This is a
3-credit, online course offered by the
University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Students will attend the course online, and the University of Nicosia will issue the transcripts.

Teaching Methods
- All courses on the Semester in the Mediterranean program are University of Nicosia courses taught by University of Nicosia faculty using University of Nicosia syllabi on the University of Nicosia campus. The University of Nicosia issues the transcript for this program.
- Students complement their in-class instruction with 9 days of on-the-ground travel to Greece and Italy.
- While the travel portion is a required part of this program and linked to the curriculum, it is not-for-credit.
