Semester in Beijing: Chinese Language
Curriculum and Faculty The Semester in Beijing: Chinese Language program offers students strong immersion opportunities combined with Mandarin language instruction through an intensive curriculum of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Courses are taught at five levels, and students are placed to the relevant level after a language placement test that takes place upon arrival to Beijing. Students attend 4.5 hours each of Chinese Reading and Writing, Listening, and Speaking per week, for 15 weeks, for a total of 15 credits. Course Curriculum Reading and Writing Listening Speaking

Chinese Calligraphy Traditional Chinese Painting Chinese History Chinese Art NOTE: Students can also take COMM-280: Intercultural Communications. This is a 3-credit, online course offered by the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Students will attend the course online, and the University of Nicosia will issue the transcripts.
