Summer in Paris: French Language
Curriculum and Faculty
Most of your coursework while on this program is focused on language acquisition, including grammar and phonetics. Regardless of background, all students take a placement test at the beginning of the program which will place them into the appropriate level courses, given their language skills.
For the Summer in Paris: French Language, students have a choice of either 4-week or 8-week options for a total of 3-9 credit hours.
There are
two 4-week Summer sessions. Session I starts in late May and runs to late June. Session II starts in late June
and ends in late July.
The
eight-week session combines both 4-week sessions and runs from late May to late July.
Curriculum Options- 4-weeks (Session I): E1 - French Language (3-4 credit hours)
- 4-weeks (Session II): E2 - French Language & Civilization (3-4 credit hours)
- 4-weeks (Session II): E5 - Intensive French Language Course (6-7 credit hours)
- 8-weeks: E1+E2 - French Language + French Language & Civilization (6-8 credit hours)
- 8-weeks: E1+E5 - French Language + Intensive French Language (9 credit hours)

Students can also take
COMM-280: Intercultural Communications. This is a
3-credit, online course offered by the
University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Students will attend the course online, and the University of Nicosia will issue the transcripts.
