Summer in the Mediterranean: Music

Curriculum and Faculty

The curriculum consists of a Music course, and an elective, taught by host institution faculty. Students take two courses for a total of 6 credit hours. Attendance in musical and dance events during the summer is strongly encouraged.

NOTE:

Students can also take COMM-280: Intercultural Communications. This is a 3-credit, online course offered by the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Students will attend the course online, and the University of Nicosia will issue the transcripts.

Teaching Methods
  • All courses on the Summer in Mediterranean: Music program are University of Nicosia courses taught by University of Nicosia faculty using University of Nicosia syllabi on the University of Nicosia campus. The University of Nicosia issues the transcript for this program.
  • Courses are taught on an intensive schedule and meet for approximately 7 hours per week for the five weeks that students are in Cyprus for a total of 42 hours of classroom contact hours.
  • While the travel portion is a required part of this program and linked to the curriculum, it is not-for-credit.
