Summer in Cyprus: Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Internship
Program Itinerary Students will spend a few days for orientation in the capital city of Nicosia, where they will get to immerse themselves in the rich history and culture of a fantastic city, before they head for the coastal areas to begin their internships. NOTE: Itineraries are subject to change.
Nicosia
 Nicosia has been the capital of the island for over 1,000 years. We
spend a day walking the city. Among the highlights of the tour will be:
- The six-hundred year old Venetian wall that separates the old city from the new city
- The Famagusta Gate that is now converted to a Cultural Center
- The Byzantine museum and Archbishopric
- Several Byzantine churches
- Laiki Yeitonia, a neighborhood reconstructed to reflect what Nicosia looked like at the turn of the century
- The modern shopping street of Makariou
Internship placements are typically located in hotels in the tourist towns of Ayia Napa and Limasol.
Interns will typically be assigned work for 36 - 40 hours a week, for 10-weeks. This will amount to approximately 400 total supervised internship hours.
