Summer in Athens

Curriculum and Faculty

Students on the Summer in Athens program may select 1-2 courses from the list below. These courses are hybrid courses of the University of Nicosia, and combine electronic resources with classroom participation. Applicants should aim to receive course pre-approval from their home institution.

ART-111: Greek Art (3 credit hours)
EUS-105: Introduction to the European Union (3 credit hours)
EUS-201: European Cultures (3 credit hours)
GREK-101: Greek Language and Culture I (3 credit hours)


Teaching Methods
  • All courses on the Summer in Athens program are University of Nicosia courses taught by University of Nicosia faculty using University of Nicosia syllabi on the University of Nicosia campus in Athens. The University of Nicosia issues the transcript for this program.
  • Courses are taught on a hybrid form combining electronic resources with classroom sessions, for a total of approximately 42 contact hours.
  • While the travel portion is a required part of this program and linked to the curriculum, it is not-for-credit.
