Semester in Argentina: Intensive Spanish Language
Curriculum and Faculty Global Learning Semesters is partnered with the Universidad de Belgrano for our Semester in Argentina: Latin American Studies program. Our host institution is fully accredited and will provide the transcript for students successfully completing academic course work. Students enrolled in the program obtain official credit from the Universidad de Belgrano. The semesters last for 14 weeks (Fall) and 12 weeks (Spring) and students will receive 14-15 credits in Spanish language courses. Students will not select their Spanish language course but will be placed at the appropriate level after they complete the Spanish language placement test. Fall Curriculum
Students will spend:
- 14 weeks in class, 3 hours daily for a total of 210 contact hours (14 credits).
Spring Curriculum (select 2)
Students will spend:
- 8 weeks in class, 3 hours daily for a total of 120 contact hours (8 credits) at their first chosen level
- 4 weeks in class, 5 hours daily for a total of 100 contact hours (7 credits) for their second chosen level
NOTE: Students can also take COMM-280: Intercultural Communications. This is a 3-credit, online course offered by the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Students will attend the course online, and the University of Nicosia will issue the transcripts.
